I am fully irish and my husband is persian/arabic. I have considered [name]alana [/name]… i like it, but what i love about [name]elena [/name] is that it sounds the same as the turkish name, [name]aleyna [/name]. While i’m usually not a fan of extra letters in names, i prefer the spelling [name]alanna[/name] over.

Is there a “correct” or “original” way to spell [name]elaina [/name]/ [name]elena [/name]/ [name]alaina [/name]/ [name]alayna [/name],etc???
I need some naming advice!!!
Just for a bit of fun 🙂 the mazelee family (youtubers) now have eight children, six girls (amyah, akyli, azaio, arazo, ajoui, ajaiu) and two boys (ajedi and unnamed newborn). But could also be short for alana etc. I am pregnant and looking for names for our daughter, yes we know for sure its a girl 🙂 we are both very proud of our heritages and would. I think i have finally narrowed it down to 2 names for my daughter.
Lana is a slavic short form of svetlana, milana etc. My dad’s name is [name_m]alan [/name_m], so i always thought i. So, my middle name is my paternal grandfather’s name, and i always thought i would do the same thing with my first child. The only drawback i can see is that [name]alana [/name] [name]thompson [/name] is reality child star [name]honey [/name] boo boo’s real name so it may be considered “downmarket”.
Which would you pick and why?
We have a little girl named [name]alana[/name] and she is having a baby sister.
