We have a little girl named [name]alana[/name] and she is having a baby sister. Is there a “correct” or “original” way to spell [name]elaina [/name]/ [name]elena [/name]/ [name]alaina [/name]/ [name]alayna [/name],etc??? I think i have finally narrowed it down to 2 names for my daughter.

I need some naming advice!!!
I have considered [name]alana [/name]… i like it, but what i love about [name]elena [/name] is that it sounds the same as the turkish name, [name]aleyna [/name].
My dad’s name is [name_m]alan [/name_m], so i always thought i. The only drawback i can see is that [name]alana [/name] [name]thompson [/name] is reality child star [name]honey [/name] boo boo’s real name so it may be considered “downmarket”. She will mostly go by. Which would you pick and why?
But could also be short for alana etc. While i’m usually not a fan of extra letters in names, i prefer the spelling [name]alanna[/name] over. I am fully irish and my husband is persian/arabic. I am pregnant and looking for names for our daughter, yes we know for sure its a girl 🙂 we are both very proud of our heritages and would.
We [name]love[/name] the name [name]adriana[/name], but it is awfully close.
So, my middle name is my paternal grandfather’s name, and i always thought i would do the same thing with my first child.
