I have to admit, it was always entertaining reading the comments on sf gate. Nothing seems local los angeles, tahoe, disneyland, hawaii. But, unless i'm mistaken, they've removed them completely. Find the best posts and communities about sfgate on reddit Same thing used to happen with many print newspapers / tabloids / magazines to. They censor comments and terminate accounts if you don't carry the their one sided slant.
So they hire former gawker people and people who write that particular genre.
