I am fully irish and my husband is persian/arabic.

Lana is a slavic short form of svetlana, milana etc. I think i have finally narrowed it down to 2 names for my daughter. My dad’s name is [name_m]alan [/name_m], so i always thought i. Is there a “correct” or “original” way to spell [name]elaina [/name]/ [name]elena [/name]/ [name]alaina [/name]/ [name]alayna [/name],etc???
But could also be short for alana etc. I need some naming advice!!! While i’m usually not a fan of extra letters in names, i prefer the spelling [name]alanna[/name] over. So, my middle name is my paternal grandfather’s name, and i always thought i would do the same thing with my first child.
The only drawback i can see is that [name]alana [/name] [name]thompson [/name] is reality child star [name]honey [/name] boo boo’s real name so it may be considered “downmarket”.
